Rhetorical questions

Rhetorical questions A rhetorical question is a figure of speech in form of a question that is asked to make a point rather than to elicit an answer.  Many companies have used rhetorical questions to make the audience think about their need/want for the product which eventually ends with the target audiences buying the product.

This will be projected through the models as the images denotes girls playing stereotypical sports associated with males and this will convert the stereotype and enforce our  ideology;we also have a boy playing rugby which shows that our brand considers a wide range of sports. Also, our images are filtered in black and white to highlight the serious tone of our message and this creates the audience to understand the message. Also, we are representing girls in the media to be strong and to persevere in their talents as this ties in with our slogan -Become The Best which was inspired by the popular Nike adverts that consistently includes a wide range of athletes of different ethnic background and gende...

This suggests that the perfume is a necessity and is obsessive. Also, the colour theme palette is white and gold which are both rich colours connoting that their target audience are middle and upper class women.  In the second shot the model is seen on a creamed coloured motor bike matched to her cat suit and as the traffic light turns red a line of men dressed in a black suit on a black motor bike whilst she pays them no attention. This shows a strong representation of women being independent and not having to chase a man. Although, the model is very seductive as she makes direct mode of address creating male gaze                         ...

Always - #Likeagirl

Image
Who is the target audience? Always is a brand of feminine hygiene that targets females aged 16-24 years old. The campaign advert appeals to millennial females and young girls who are influenced by stereotypes and they use two different generations to contrast the idea of what it is to be a girl. This emphasises that as we get older we become more acceptable to stereotypes even though knowingly we all don't fit those criteria's. For example, in the first shot of the video, the director asks three millennial girls, a young boy and a man " show me what it looks like to run like a girl" they then all stereotypically ran ' like a girl' which was flapping her arms and not running like how a normal athlete would run. The director asked the same question to young girls and they didn't base the question off stereotypes and in fact ran how they would run themselves. what is the message being conveyed? The message being conveyed in the campaign was that...
